Max Media was founded in 1990 by advertising industry veteran John Graziano, whose career spans executive leadership, agency ownership, national media sales, and large-scale retail brand management.

Before launching Max Media, John spent eight years in broadcast ownership and management, gaining firsthand operational insight into media economics, audience dynamics, and programming strategy. Prior to that, he served as Senior Vice President of a major national advertising sales organization, where he oversaw 16 sales offices and more than 150 sales representatives responsible for generating over $600 million in annual billings.

His foundation in advertising was built over a decade of agency leadership and account management roles, including:

  • Vice President of Advertising for The Wherehouse Record Stores, a national retail chain with annual advertising expenditures exceeding $80 million

  • President of Creative Space Advertising, a national advertising agency

  • President of Pacific Image Advertising, an international agency specializing in overseas markets, with particular expertise in Asian and Hispanic audiences

This depth of experience — spanning retail, broadcast, national sales, multicultural markets, and agency ownership — provides Max Media clients with strategic insight that is both comprehensive and execution-focused.
